Yes! Empress Massage does sell gift certificates of any amount of your choosing. (Must purchase a minimum of $10) If you'd like a gift certificate for a special occasion (Ex: Valentine's Day, Birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) let us know so we can specialize the gift certificate. Currently, we do not have electronic gift certificates and printed ones must be picked up in person. Contact Empress Massage to get yours today!
Yes, gift certificates do expire but don't worry, you have a whole year from its purchase date to use it! The expiration date will be written on the gift certificate when purchased.
If you cannot make it to your appointment, call, email, or text Empress Massage as soon you know. Empress Massage will happily reschedule your appointment. Any cancelations or rescheduling not made within the 24-hour period will be charged 30% of their service. No shows with be charged 100% of their service.
Yes. I, Diana am the sole owner of Empress Massage and I have a conditional use permit to work from my home. I do live with family so I am not the only person who may be around the residence, because of this all sessions are by appointment only to ensure the most privacy for my clients as well as everyone who reside within my home. Have you recently injured yourself or had a surgery, received a new medical diagnosis, or a new prescription medication and are now unsure if you can get a massage? In all cases consulting with your doctor or physician before booking a massage is highly recommended because the answer varies person to person. There are many variables that need to be considered before it can be determined if massage can safely be performed. With some diagnosis, treatments, medications, or surgery, massage is contraindicated and should not be performed. If currently receiving chemotherapy massage is not safe for you and cannot be performed. In some cases, due to these concerns a recently booked massage may be canceled at no charge to you. It's recommended you inform me before booking an appointment via, email. voicemail, call or text so proper accommodations can be made to the massage.
Deep tissue can and should be relaxing. The goal is to release knots caused by tight muscles and reduce discomfort. Deep tissue has moments of focused work over tight areas with deep breathing techniques, following moments of soothing strokes. It is true that there may be brief moments of discomfort, but it should never become overbearing. Please communicate with your massage therapist if at any moment you feel uncomfortable.
Massage should not be painful, there may be moments of discomfort due to sore or tight areas, but it should only be a moment. The goal is to relieve pain and discomfort. If the massage is painful, please communicate with your massage therapist who will discuss with you about changing techniques and pressure to make the massage more relaxing and effective. It will not hurt their feelings.
Swedish massage is a light to medium pressure, if you are looking for a massage with a little more pressure to it, I would recommend deep tissue massage.
Hot stones and Hot towels should be soothing and relaxing and should never burn. If at any point the temperature of these tools is too hot immediately inform your massage therapist. Before they are applied to your skin both hot stones and hot towels must be cool enough that I the massage therapist can handle them appropriately, and I will be checking in with you about the temperature before placing them directly onto the skin.
Certified Massage therapists are required by law to follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Your personal information will not be shared without your consent. An example of a time you may want your information to be shared with your physician or a healthcare provider may be so the Massage therapist and your provider may discuss if and how massage may affect a particular health condition.
Clients must be 18 years old or older in order to receive any form of body work. If less than 18 years old, you may still purchase gift certificates for others who are over 18 years old.
Yes, if you are less than 18 years old, you are allowed to buy gift certificates of any amount of your choosing ($10 Minimum) as long as the person using the gift certificate is over 18 years old.
