COVID-19 Guidelines & Policies
Masks are mandatory at all times. Before, during & after your service. Client names and contact information might be shared with the State Health Department in the event that a client or practitioner at this facility tests positive for Covid-19. Your contact details will only be shared with the Health Department if Empress Massage is required to report the information.
Empress Massage's policies on Covid-19:
- Please contact Empress Massage right away if you experience any symptoms, receive a diagnosis, or are exposed to someone who has covid-19. Your appointment will be rescheduled for a later date.
- Please do not show up to an appointment if you are experiencing symptoms related to Covid-19, are diagnosed with Covid-19 or have any reason to believe you have been exposed to someone else with Covid-19.
- Postponed massages will be rescheduled out however many days is required by the CDC's recommendations post Covid-19 exposure and diagnosis. A negative Covid-19 test is required to return.
- If an appointment is canceled for any reason related to covid 19 there will not be a fee for cancelation.
- Upon arrival to an appointment or any moment that a client is to be on the premise of Empress Massage a routine temperature check will be taken before treatment begins. If the client has a fever of 100.4F or higher, your massage will be postponed and rescheduled.
- It is strongly advised that one is fully vaccinated before booking an appointment for massage to ensure the health & safety of both the client and massage therapist.
- All clients will be required to read, fill out and sign a Covid-19 Liability Release Waver upon their first appointment that will apply to every future massage with Empress Massage. * If any rules or regulations change an additional form with updated information in line with CDC regulations may be required.
Common symptoms of Covid-19: *This list does not include all possible symptoms
- Fever or Chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or Difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or Vomiting
- Diarrhea
Ways That Empress Massage is working to Manage the spread of Covid-19
Due to the outbreak of Corona Virus (Covid-19 and variants) Empress Massage is doing everything we can to protect you, our clients, our community, and our staff. Empress Massage will be following the Center for Disease Controle (CDC) recommendations with regard to social distancing practices and sanitation. We require that all our clients disclose their health history and continue to implement these sanitation and disinfection procedures. Your personal information that you report will not be disclosed to anyone besides me, your massage therapist, the department of health in the event that I am required to do so, and any health care providers that you consent to share with, as protected under HIPAA.
Covid-19 procedures in place to reduce risk of infection:
- Taking temperature check of all clients and the massage therapist before every massage
- Requiring the use of masks before, during, and after a massage for both the client and massage therapist
- Up to date vaccination status of your massage therapist
- Regular wiping down of all surfaces and doorknobs after each client with antiviral/ antibacterial wipes
- Washing of all linen with hot water and disinfecting, non-scented and allergy safe detergent after each client
- Washing of all additional massage tools (ex. hot stones) with antiviral/bacterial soap
- Disinfecting of the floor at the end of each day
